Race information

Due to recent warm weather in the Gallatin Valley, we the GVSJA have decided to move the event to the Broken Hart Ranch in Gallatin Gateway. All other events (sign ups and Calcutta) will remain the same. Please see our website for the most up to date information.

We will be posting a map of the Broken Hart Ranch with directions for spectators, competitors, and parking in the coming days.

We at the GVSJA apologize for the late change in venue, but we strive to offer our competitors the best conditions possible and we thank you for your understanding.

Calcutta

The Calcutta takes place on Saturday night after Day 1 of competition. Teams are auctioned off to raise money for the non-profit Bridger Mountain Rodeo Club. Spectators and participants essentially "buy" a team(s) based on the results posted from Day 1 in expectations of the team being a top three finisher for Day 2 results (qualifying times for the Calcutta will be based on the top three results from Day 2, not cumulative times from the weekend).  Once a team is bid on, the winning bidder can win back part of the Calcutta money based on how the team performs on Sunday. All money raised during the Calcutta is shared between Bridger Mountain Rodeo Club and the winning bidders for the top three fastest teams for each division on Sunday's performance.

Competition Location:

The 2019 Montana Classic will be held at the Broken Heart Ranch
